CIRQUE DU SOLEIL CANCELS BAZZAR PERFORMANCES
IN SALT LAKE CITY DUE TO THE WORLDWIDE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
Salt Lake City, UT – March 13, 2020 – Taking into consideration the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendation for social distancing as well as the escalation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, BAZZAR by Cirque du Soleil is cancelling its Salt Lake City engagement, which was to be held from May 24 to July 5, 2020, under the Big Top at the Maverik Center.
Carrying out operations all over the world, Cirque du Soleil regularly updates its procedures and applies specific measures to each region of the world and to each project in order to meet the highest standards of health and safety in this evolving situation worldwide.
Although this situation results from circumstances beyond its control, Cirque du Soleil apologizes for any inconvenience this cancellation may cause.
All ticket holders for BAZZAR in Salt Lake City will be contacted by their point of sale regarding the refund process. For tickets purchased through one of our partners, please contact the original point of sale for refund.
The Touring Show Division at Cirque du Soleil will be working to reschedule performances in Salt Lake City in the near future.

The iconic and breath-taking Cirque du Soleil BAZZAR is coming to the Salt Lake valley for the first time ever. A colourful homage to Cirque du Soleil legacy, BAZZAR will premiere on May 24th and will continue its performances until July 5th, 2020 under a Big Top Tent - placed in the South West corner of the Maverik Center Parking Lot! This is the first time that Cirque du Soleil is coming to Salt Lake City with a Big Top engagement.

ABOUT THE NAME: The high-energy excitement, collision of sounds and colours, and meeting place of diverse characters you’d find at a traditional ‘bazaar’, inspired the name of the show. BAZZAR perfectly captures the spirit! The spelling is slightly different, where the double ‘zz’ represents the time loop you sense during the adventure. As a word, BAZZAR is also read almost the same forwards and backwords. But just when you reach the end of the word, it’s not. Like the performance, just when you think you know where the story is going— there’s a twist!
